The Summer festivities have the green light and they’re endless here in Atlanta! Here are a few upcoming events and activities to keep you and the family busy!
Summer at the Rock – If you live or frequent Atlanta, then Stone Mountain Park is a must to visit! Currently Stone Mountain Park is featuring a new exhibit, Dinosaur Explore! Remember, you just have to pay parking to get into the park, but all the attractions cost. But hanging out at the park, hiking and viewing the laser show are all FREE!
Mamma Mia! will be at the Fox Theatre June 13-18th. The schedule is as follows; Tuesday-Thursday: 7:30 p.m. Friday: 8 p.m. Saturday: 2 p.m., 8 p.m. Sunday: 1 p.m., 6:30 p.m. Tickets start at $30. MAMMA MIA! is one of the most successful musicals of all time, the eighth longest running show in Broadway history and one of only five musicals to have run for more than ten years on Broadway.
Family Free Day at the High! Sunday is the 2nd Sunday of the June. Every 2nd Sunday of the month the High Museum of Art host a Family Free Sunday! Bring the kids and enjoy an afternoon of art and fun. I can’t remember the parking deck, but if you were coming out of the front entrance of the High, made a left and crossed over the street, the parking deck right there had free parking on Sundays. Not sure if it is the same now, but worth a shot seeing as you will probably pay the same amount regardless of where you park (unless you can get it for free).
Callaway Gardens is offering Movies on the Beach this Summer. Enjoy some great movies on a 50 foot inflatable screen with a powerful sound and projection system at Callaway Gardens’ Movies on the Beach* every Friday night.
