I’m beginning to think that store bought Valentine’s are a thing of the past like opening doors and chivalry. I’m sure all you Pinterest addicts have been making your way and pin-purging all the Valentine’s Day themed ideas that cross your page! But, if you’re like me, all the melted crayons and other time consuming DIY Valentine’s just aren’t going to cut it this year. Am I right?

I get it. You’re busy and this year you just don’t have time for it, but you still want that special Valentine for your child to gift their classmates. No? Don’t you worry though! I got you covered!! I made a FREE printable that you can attach to a Valentine’s Day pencil, and you’re done! That’s it! Well you do have to attach the Valentine to the pencil, but other than that you have a quick and easy job ahead of you. I grabbed some pencils from the Dollar Tree (but you can get a $1 pack from Target, Walmart, you name it!).

The other great thing about them they are great for grades 1 and up! And they’re also gender neutral as well. And it’s a pencil, everyone needs pencils!

I just cut slits with my Extracto knife on each side of the heart and slipped then pencil in. But you can get creative and display it how you want, for example, punching a whole in the heart and attaching it with Valentine’s Day ribbon around the pencil. Whatever you end up doing, it’s going to be super cute and easy! And the BEST thing about it (again) is that they will actually — USE the pencil! It won’t go in the trash or on the floor. That’s one of the reasons I hate purchasing store bought Valentine’s, they just go right in the trash.

Hopefully these will be a HIT at the Valentine’s Day party!

Let me know below what was your favorite Valentine you ever received? Don’t forget to PIN it!
